Let's Get back to Nature

H2O NaturA

Let the elegance and experience of nature join forces with the enhancements from modern engineering and biological designs bring solutions to your water related challenges.

About Us

H2O Natura  supports sustainable wastewater management, by using treatment wetland technology. Being a state of the natural art technology, it combines the natural elegance and efficiency of nature, integrated with improved engineering technologies.

Our technology

Treatment wetlands  harness the power of nature as an engineered approach to be able to reduce the concentration of pollutants down to required levels, by using a combination of physicochemical, and biological processes to treat the wastewater.

They are included in a set of cost-effective tools called Nature Based solutions. They are the alternative techniques of conventional methods so as to mitigate environmental challenges by taking advantage of nature capacity.

We meet clients’ expectations and needs toward circular systems.
We have specialist staff for WEF nexus.
We address challenges through the state-of-the-natural-art technologies

Application

Treatment Wetlands

It can be designed to treatment wastewater for small and medium communities.
Industrial water can be treated  with a system that included a treatment
wetland.  Depending on the specific needs, multiple wetlands can be included, or an other technology can be added to remove specific contaminants.

It can be use to not only dry(dewater) the sludge, but also to stabilize it for safe use in other applications.  Resource recovery can be designed for depending on the industry and the make up on the wastewater.
They are used to remove contaminants and other solid matter to polish the stormwater.  The can also be used in flood situation in areas that might have these types of weather events.

Water

Water is an essential commodity impacting energy and food sectors, and H2O Natura has a wide range of services from water and wastewater treatment to stormwater management as well as sludge dewatering and treatment to improve existing processes. For example, treating water and managing polluted waters, like in domestic and industrial sources, we offer the application of Green Infrastructures and biological treatment processes and interventions such as Treatment Wetlands.

Energy

H2O Natura offers services in energy sector contributing to energy saving, biogas production, geothermal energy, and the Mitigation of Urban Heat Islands (UHIs). As examples, to produce energy, we offer the application of Bioenergy Infrastructures (BIs) like biogas digestors and geothermal heaters.

Food

H2O Natura offers services to food sector to improve efficiency and sustainability in supplying water and energy sources for food production such as nutrients´ provision in irrigation water and energy supply for crop production related processes. As examples, to produce food we offer the application of Urban Farming (UF) and sustainable forestry through green walls, roof top farming or to produce wood via willow systems.

additional services

H2O Natura has additional services to introduce NBS practices to society and stakeholders and contribute to the promotion of NBS in various levels of society

What are Nature-Based Solutions

A nature-based solution refers to an approach that uses nature and its resources to address various environmental challenges and create sustainable solutions.  This means taking taking advantage of natural systems and processes, including plants, animals, and ecosystems, to mitigate the negative impacts of issues such as climate change, habitat loss, and pollution.

By working with nature, nature-based solutions have the potential to provide cost-effective, long-term, and sustainable solutions to complex environmental problems.

At H2O Natura, we use nature as a base for each and everyone of our projects.

The Water-Energy-Food (WEF) nexus highlights the interconnections and inter-dependencies between water, energy, and food systems. The nexus approach recognizes that these three systems are interconnected and mutually dependent, and that actions in one area can affect the others.

At H2ONatura, we work without network of partners to incorporate these ideas in our projects and collaborate with them on projects where water issues are concerned.
